Artist:
Dawn
/ April 7, 2009
Step 1.
All you will have to do here is draw a series of straight guidelines. Make the first two come out looking like a cross, and then add two more horizontal lines as you see here on the bottom.

Step 2.
Now, start drawing out the shape and style of the sheriff hat by using the guidelines that you already drew in step one. This is very easy so far don't you think? Now what you will do next is draw the beginning lines for the skull eyes and make sure
you add the layered crease lines. Draw out the skull nose and move to the next drawing step.

Draw the sheriff star in the middle of the hat and then add the wrinkle lines that will make up the detailing of the skull's face. Complete the mouth and cheeks and then move to the next step.

Step 5.
To finish off your sheriff skull, draw a big bone sheriff star in the background to complete your drawing of this very cool skull design. Erase the guidelines that you drew in step one to clean up your work.

Description:
I think it is time for yet another cool design that can be used for a tattoo or even a poster of some sorts. I will start the day with a lesson on how to draw a sheriff skull step by step. If you notice on the front page there is a tutorial on how to draw a cowboy that was submitted by master_drawer a few days ago. I thought it would be fun to add an additional character from the western days by doing a sheriff skull. There is so many different designs that you can think of to combine skulls in art. All you have to do is think of a character, object, or animal and go from there. Skulls are what you call a versatile concept to work with because they can be woven into many different things. I am working on this other skull design that I think will be a big hit, but than again it could be a big bomb as well. I would also like to remind everyone to keep the request pouring in because I am always looking for new and exciting ideas to work with to create awesome tutorials for all you artists out there. I was going to draw the skull with a lower jaw, but then I decided not to because it gave him more western character. Along with the skull, you will also be learning how to draw a cowboy hat as well with a sheriff’s star in the middle. This is also cool because it will enable you to draw a sheriff hat on any kind of character whether it be a boy or a girl cowboy. Anyways I know you guys will love learning how to draw a sheriff skull step by step. The design came out pretty rugged just like a real westerner from the dirt trail days. I will be back soon with more fun so stay tuned kiddies and keep having fun.
