Artist: Dawn / July 23, 2012

Step 1.

Start with an egg shape for the top part of the pin.

Step 2.

Using the shape you just made, draw out the actual design of the bowling pin. Notice how it has an hourglass figure or shape going on.

Step 3.

Lastly, add the face, then draw the band that is normally painted around the neck. Erase the mistakes if any, and you're done.

Step 4.

Here is what your bowling pin looks like when completed. Now you can color it in to perfection.

Description: Another fun, and simple lesson that is going to be cool to recreate. Here I have a tutorial on "how to draw a pin", step by step. You will be drawing a single bowling pin, but you can certainly draw the required amount to have a complete bowling pin set. I didn't want to draw a typical pin so I added a creepy face at the knob of the pin, as well as a grayed out collar around the pin's neck. You can choose to go with any style pin you like, but I thought this one would be super cool, and more exciting to draw. I don't know what else I can say about drawing a bowling pin except I hope you get a strike. You can even add a bowling ball in the background or foreground, it's all up to you.
