Step 1.

Make the two circles that will form a small body guide for your Nutcracker. Add the facial guidelines like so, then proceed to step two.

Step 2.

Now, using the guides draw out the shape of the face along with the hat. The top part of the hat should be square like a box.

Step 3.

Draw in the lining at the top and bottom parts of the hat. Draw the bold straight eyebrows, then color in dots for the eyes. Draw the nose, mustache, and mouth. Don't forget the lines for the teeth.

Step 4.

In this step you will begin with the shoulders, then draw the arms which are stiff at the sides, then draw small round fists. Finish this step o draw the legs.

Step 5.

Lastly, draw the puffs of hair on the sides of the head, then add the beard, detailing lines for the uniform, the feet, then the collar and ball at the top of the hat. Erase the mistakes because you are done.

Step 6.

Here is the line art when you are finished. Color in your Nutcracker, and add him to the Christmas decor.

Description: As soon as Thursday passes by we will all be getting ready for Christmas. To help folks celebrate Christmas, I will be showing you "how to draw a nutcracker for kids", step by step. This is one item or object that is highly associated with Christmas. These solider like wooden statues are dressed in a uniform that is colored green, red, yellow and black. There is usually a lever in the back of the statue that enables you to open his mouth. The whole purpose of the Nutcracker is to actually crack open nuts during the winter holiday. I had fun with this lesson because when I was a kid I always wanted to make one of these figures when I started drawing Christmas stuff. Drawing a Nutcracker for kids will be a helpful tutorial especially for all you novice artists out there that really have the spirit when the jolly holiday rolls around. I will be back with more fun stuff to draw so come back around or stay put.
