How to Draw a Nuke, Nuclear Blast

Step 1.


Okay, you will draw one big egg shape for the top part of the cloud. When that is done draw the stem as well as the base shape which is also like an egg or oval.

Step 2.


Define the shape of the nuke's stem, then begin drawing the bubbly looking cloud puffs.

Step 3.


Moving further out from the center of the nuke cloud, begin sketching more sections of bubbly cloud matter. Some areas should be more defined than others.

Step 4.


You are ready to draw out the rest of the nuke cloud shape. Start at the edges and when that is done draw the dimple like lines to add depth and texture to the cloud.

Step 5.


Draw the much small mini cloud at the center of the stem. When that is done sketch in some stretch line to detail the stem, then add some cloud puff at the base.

Step 6.


Finish up here by sketching out the bottom cloud, then add all the detailing that you need to. Erase all the mistakes that you made as well as the guidelines.

Step 7.


This is what the drawing looks like when you're done. Color it in, or use it with another background.

Description: Hey folks, boy do I have awesome tutorials for you guys today. I will start by showing you "how to draw a nuke", or nuclear blast step by step. The reason for the lesson is due mainly because of the documentary I watched with my little brother on the atomic bomb. The mushroom cloud or cloud of death has been a site that no one wants to see ever in their lifetime. Even though some of us are fortunate to not have been exposed to such a site, there are in fact people that have. My heart goes out to all that have seen a nuke blast, it must have been the most terrifying site ever seen. Anyways, I know the debris cloud is like death staring at you, it is still considered to be one of the most recognizable objects or mass which means it is an interesting concept to recreate. I think you should all do fine drawing a nuke blast. You can use this cloud to a background drawing, or you can leave it as is. I will return so keep an eye out.
