How to Draw a Mermaid for Kids
1
Make a circle for the head, and then another for the body. Next, draw out the guidelines for the body, face, and tail.
2
Using the shapes you drew in step one, draw out the shape or structure of your mermaids face like you see here. Next, make the hair line and then draw out an ear.
3
Now draw the shapes of her eyes, and then the pupils. Next, draw the eyebrows, and then her lips to make a pucker shape.
4
Now here you will draw out the hair which is very easy because all you have to do is make a wide cone like shape. Sketch in some hair strand detailing lines and then move along to step five.
6
Now you can continue to draw out the tail, and then make the marking line for the separation mark for the fin and waist. Draw in the shells that cover her breast and move to step seven.
7
Finish drawing out her tail, and then sketch in some fin detailing too. Erase the lines and shapes that you drew in step one and move to step eight.

Description: Drawing mermaids has got to be one of the funnest things to make because you can create your own versions. There is so many ways you can create such a mythical creature but if you are an artist that is just starting out, this may be a difficult task to take on. That is why I wanted to show you "how to draw a mermaid for kids", step by step. Even though the tutorial heading has the 'for kids' in the description, that doesn't mean it's a lesson that is strictly for kids. I just label these types of tutorials in this fashion to encourage folks with limited drawing abilities to learn from something easy. I made sure that the mermaid came out cute, and very pretty. The colors are great as well because she has brightness to her that is only seen in a vivid fish. I do hope that you like learning "how to draw a mermaid for kids", and when you are done with the tutorial be sure to let me know if it was helpful. I have to float out of here because there is still one more submission going up. Adios peeps, and enjoy the rest of your drawing day!
