How To Draw A Medieval Castle
1
In this first step you will be drawing a ton of guidelines. Make sure when you draw out the lines you place them exactly where they are shown to you here. All these lines are strategically placed in the position where the shape of them will be.
2
As you can see how every line you drew in step 1 has a purpose. Using the lines and the shapes in the step draw out the bases and the pointed tops for each part of the gigantic structure. All bottom pieces are shaped like cups and the tops are shaped
3
Now you will spent a good deal of time drawing out the top layer of bricks and windows as shown. But before you do any of that erase all the guidelines you don't need so it won't be difficult to do later.

Description: Hello again all and welcome back to another tutorial on DragoArt. Today you will be learning how to draw a medieval castle. The second thing you will be learning about is the history on medieval castles. I chose to do another castle because lets face it the castle I put up long ago looks like a child did it, and the reason for the way the first castle came out like that is because I was so incredibly lazy that day so that aided to the picture being so crappy. Any how, let’s talk about medieval castles in general. Medieval times began in the 10th century which was 1000 AD and lasted all the way to 1550 AD. Most refer to this time as being the dark ages and almost all famous castles are found across Europe. These castles of the 10th century were built big, bold, solid and strong which is why they have lasted all these years fro us to enjoy today. They may not be in the best of shape, but medieval castles hold historical value behind the ruins that are left behind. A lot of people like me are truly fascinated by castle history because they are linked to so many different stories and adventures. Like the haunting legend about Windsor Castle and how there is more than one ghost that have been seen including the hunter that Shakespeare himself referred to in “Merry Wives Windsor” and his name was Herne the Hunter. Haunted castles are talked about all over from England to Ireland and from Scotland to Wales. Some famous kings lived in medieval castles such as King Arthur he lived in Cadbury Castle or Camelot Castle which ever you prefer. How about another famous castle that belonged to a mysterious man that lived far away from civilization with different stories that circles around about his time. The castle belonged to Vlad Dracula in Transylvania and it was called Bran Castle or in other words Dracula’s Castle from the infamous stories about a king who went bad and became a creature of the night or a vampire. There are so many stories behind so many different castles. I think these enormous structures had more beauty than anything that is built today. There is a difference in something that is built with no technology verses something being built from technology. The way the medieval castles were built with so much detail by literally just hands is simply amazing. This tutorial will show you how to draw a medieval castle step by step. Although it may seem hard, it really isn’t. So have fun and get creative I turned my castle into a castle of fantasy.
