Now you will start sketching out the shape of the wolf's mouth and snout as seen here. Once that is done sketch out the eye line or shape which is closed.

Step 3.
Now you will sketch out the ear and the front of the wolf's mouth and or nose. Then sketch out the hair in front of the neck and chest as seen here. See how simple this is?

Step 4.
Before you start shading in the inside of the wolf's mouth you have to finish sketching out the mouth, nose, and teeth. Sketch out the back fur and then add some personal touches that you want to add.

Step 5.
This is your last drawing step and what you will have to do now is sketch in the ear lining and sketch in the fur inside of the ear. Start erasing all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one.

Description:
Animals are beautiful creatures and you will often see them on the covers of magazines, articles, all over the internet, and even in our own backyards. I wanted to do a lesson on another wolf and even though I have a bunch of wolves already submitted here on the site, I noticed that I didn’t have any howling wolves. Because of that I am going to show you “
how to draw a howling wolf
", step by step. A howling wolf is always fun to draw and I know you guys will have fun learning from this tutorial. I think we all know where and when you will commonly see a howling wolf. Some people love watching werewolf movies just to see the half human half wolf creatures in the flick. For me I like watching stories that have wolves already written into them. Did you ever wonder why a wolf howls by the way? I did some research and I found that wolves not only bark, whine, whimper, yelp, growl, and snarl like a genuine house dog, they also make amazing noises with their vocal abilities. Although we would like to believe that wolves howl to ward off other animals and humans, they howl solely for pack reasons. Wolves live in packs right? Well in order to keep the packs together they howl. Howling enables packs to stay strong and it also keeps social communication to the extreme. There are also other lessons on Dragoart based on learning to
draw a howling wolf
, you just have to look for them. Anyway, this tutorial will show you the ins and outs to drawing a howling wolf. I do have to go once again and I want will return with more drawing fun so stay tuned in and keep having fun.
