How to Draw a Female Sci-Fi Creature

Step 1.


Okay as you can tell this will be a very long and complex lesson to draw out. You will first need to draw out the guidelines and shapes to for a workable frame for your alien like female creature. To do this start with a circle for her head and then    

Step 2.


Now that you have her body frame drawn out and in motion you will start sketching out the shape of her perfectly portioned body. Start with thickening the wing arm and then work your way down to her body starting with her breast, torso and then legs.   

Step 3.


Now that that is done you will start your third step and normally when you have reached your third step, your half way finished with the lesson. But for this tutorial you will not come half way until step four. So let’s begin this step by sketching   

Step 4.


Now that you have finally reached step four, you are at your half way point with this lesson. To make this step easy you will start by drawing out the shape of the fly like legs in the back of her and the draw out the wing tissue or membrane to fill    

Step 5.


Now that you have reached step five you will start sketching out the detailing definition to her body. Start with her face. You will sketch out the shape of her eyes and nose and then give her a shirt line that stops in the middle of her nipple. Next   

Step 6.


Well you have almost come to your wits end because you are one more step away from completion. What you will do here is first sketch out more of the facial detail and definition by giving her a mouth and then adding detail to the side of her face. Ad   

Step 7.


You have come to the end of this lesson and all you have to do is add the finishing touches. Add the exposed jaw bone or teeth and then define her body limbs as you see here. You will then draw out the definition to the wing tissue and then start era   

Step 8.


You have now seen what this creature should look like when you are finished. All you have to do now is color her in and you are now complete. You have just learned how to draw a female sci-fi creature step by step. I hope you had a butt load of fun w

Description: I am so proud of this first tutorial that I am about to submit. This creature that took me all day to sketch out was totally random and some what of an accident. I began my day with just scribbling on my tablet until some ideas came to me. After trial and error I began a sketch that took me into another world completely. What started out as a dragon, this creature became some what of a female alien/dragon/android with a pair of wings and insect like legs behind the set of dragon like wings. Her upper body stayed looking like a human while her arms, hands and feet resemble that of a dragon. I added the concept of an insect with her sketch and began designing her clothes which later turned into a droid looking female that had a twist of an alien. I don’t know how but, her face came out looking like a character from Hellrasier and her clothes are sort of gothic and cool. When my mother came up stairs to see what I was drawing she was like “oh my god”! She told me that the image looked like something George Lucas would conjure up for one of his alien beings for a movie. I don’t know how many of you people know but, my real dream is to draw out characters from my imagination for a movie that I write, and direct. One day I hope to combine artistic skills with directing skills and walk the same path that all these great directors ventured. I absolutely admire people like George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, James Cameron, as well writers like Steven King and artistic creators like H.R. Giger. The girl that I am about to show you how to draw is half android and half alien. The alien side of her is combined with a dragon, and a fly. I decided to expose her jaw and teeth on the side to make her look more like a lost being on a planet that is foreign to her. I don’t have a name yet for this creation but as soon as I do come up with a name I will revise the text to her.
