Start with an oval circle for the shell of the turtle and then add three leg lines. You will then draw a right side circle for the head and add the facial guidelines and a neck line.

Now what you will do next is draw out the shape of the turtles shell as seen here and then draw the thickness of the neck and underbelly. Draw the round eyes using the facial guidelines and thicken the legs before leaving this step.

Sketch out the shape of the turtles head and mouth as shown to you here and then draw out the shape of the shell where the neck pops out of. Add a border on the bottom of his shell in the back and then draw a nice pointed tail. Add the rest of the sh

Description: Animals are great and there is so much that we humans can learn from them. Even though animals are from the wild and they live in an animalistic environment, sometimes they act very much like humans. I wanted to keep the baby animal lessons going so because of that I decided to show you how to draw a baby turtle step by step. This tutorial is a bit different from the other lessons that I submit on animals because it is drawn and laid out in a way to look cartoony instead of realistic. I find that drawing cartoon animals is a whole lot easier use as a tutor for advancing yourself to draw realistic animals in the future. The movie "Over the Hedge" is a perfect example on the different types of animals that are popular and fun to draw. Turtles are one of the oldest forms of animal in existence being a close relative to the dinosaur along with alligators and crocodiles. Did you know that when baby turtles hatch from eggs like most reptiles do, and they have to dig themselves out of the sand and make it to open waters before sunrise? It’s true, like many of you already know, turtles are known to be very independent and their very lives is in their own hands. They are buried in the sand and left by the egg laying mother to fend for themselves. There is no known species of turtle that cares for the hatchlings to date and there probably will never be one. Turtles spend most of their days swimming in the water, and all turtles breathe oxygen which means that at some pint they have to come up for air. This was a fun tutorial and I hope that you will like learning how to draw a baby turtle step by step.
