There are many different descriptions given on this outspoken individual. One being that he is a devil worshiper, and that he performs satanic rituals and so forth. To me the people that makes assumptions about him like that are just plain ignorant. They fail to tell you that he is a gifted artist and performer. His music is nothing more than a message on society, religion, politics, love, hate, and other important issues that are talked about everyday in the media. The only differences with his message compared to what Americans and other countries listen to and believe in is that he doesn’t mask what he says and sings about. He was born as Brian Hugh Warner on January 5, 1969 to a family in Canton, Ohio. As a boy he attended a highly religious Christian School called Heritage Christian School. After reaching the tenth grade he convinced his parents to let him get out of the over bearing religious school and attend a public school where he could be more like himself and chose his own beliefs without pressure from crazed teachers. What most people don’t know about Marilyn Manson is that he studied in a local community college after his parents moved from Ohio to Florida after he graduated high school. He studied journalism and theater at Broward Community College. He began writing poems and short stories after feeling a sense of loneliness in a new and unexplored environment. Eventually he became a journalist for an entertainment magazine and wrote numerous articles including Trent Reznor from Nine Inch Nails. He often went to rock based clubs for interviews and other underground music clubs. After some time he eventually decided to form his own band called Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids. His stage name came from Marilyn Monroe, one of the world’s most beautiful woman, and Charles Manson, one of the world’s most ugliest inside and out person ever in existence. The names Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids was cut short to just Marilyn Manson, then hence one of the most controversial artist was born. With an influence from Ozzy Osbourne and Kiss he began his rock and Roll career. Along with his fame, love interest soon followed. He dated Rose McGowan, burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese which he later married and divorced, there has also been rumored affairs with Melissa "Missi" Romero, Traci Lords and Jenna Jameson. He is now dating actress Evan Rachel Wood. I love his music and I absolutely would never say that he is satanic or a devil worshiper. I heard several interviews that he gave and I will tell you this, he is an intelligent individual that is simply a performer.
