How To Draw Elvis Presley

Step 1.


Start this first step by drawing out the shape of a large egg for his head. Then sketch in facial guidelines as you see here. After that draw a line for his neck.

Now here you will start the detailing of Elvis. Start by sketching in his world famous hair style starting with the sides right on his temple. When sketching in his hair use a light stroke making the straight hairs shorter than the others until it lo   

Step 3.


In this third step you will start sketching in the actual hair inside of the eyebrow shape you drew in step two. After that you can start drawing out the shape of his almond looking eyes along with his eyeballs. Elvis has a puffy look to bottom of hi

As you can see you will be spending a lot of time sketching in his nicely shaped hair. You can do this with a series of soft straight strokes that curve inward a bit depending on the position. After you do this, sketch in the wrinkle lines on his for

Erase all the guidelines you drew in step one before shading in anything you see here. Now you will begin the shading process in this final step of drawing and sketching. If you remember in the previous step you only sketched in a portion of his hair

In this step I will be showing you how to make that nice shading effect. Make sure you are using Adobe Photoshop software. This is only for that program. If you don't have it, then might as well skip these steps. First get out your burn tool. Asset

In this step we will start the shading process. All you have to do is shade a first coat six inches above the black spot. After that make another coat of darkness ontop of that color and make it four inches above the black spot. Finally make a third

Description: Elvis, the king of rock and roll, is probably the best known artist and performer in the world. I grew up listening to Elvis tunes because of my grandmother. She loves Elvis. In fact she is a big Elvis freak. My grandmother has a tone of collectables almost all are Elvis related. She has a four disc music set with a whole mini profile on “The King”. Every song, every lyric, every everything she knows about this guy. She is like an Elvologist for real. This tutorial today is in dedication to my insane grandmother that loves this guy to now end. I will teach you all how to sketch, draw, and color a portrait of Elvis Presley. I read some information on Elvis from my grandmothers mini biography book she has which sits right next to her old records and nick knacks of all sorts of stuff. Before we get started on the bio of Mr. Presley, I would just like to say that my grandmother is also very obsessed with Scarlet O’Hara, Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, and betty Boop. Elvis was a southern kid from a southern town. Since he was very young he has been into music whether it be country, jazz, blues, or gospel. As a matter of fact, that is exactly what his music sounds like, a hint of blues, jazz, gospel, and country. What Elvis did that was so unique and great for his time was bring together the style of music together from both the white and black side. This explains why he was liked by all races and nationalities. He performed in a manner that would make a married woman leave her husband just to get a glance at The King. He swung his hips and brought out a very sexual presence that folks were just not use to seeing. Very quickly he became a teen role model and soon all the young boys of his time were dressing and acting like Elvis Presley. Young males gained confidence to pick up woman by acting more like the hip swinger. The only problem was is that he was seen as being a vulgar, incompetent individual who was a bad influence on young adults and young teens. He soon gained major popularity and stardom as time went on. Eventually he marries Priscilla Beaulieu and they shared a daughter named Lisa Marie Presley. If you ask my opinion, I think that Lisa Marie looks exactly like her father. He has held the status of The King of Rock and Roll then and keeps that label till the end of time.
