How to Draw Domo-Kun
1
Draw a rectangle shape for the frame of Domo-kun's body. You will then add the facial guidelines the way you see them drawn out here.
2
Using the facial guidelines you drew in step one, draw the eyes and color them in as well as drawing out the shape of his open mouth. Draw the sharp looking teeth and proceed on to the next step.
3
You will now draw out the actual shape of Domo-kun. He is rounded on the sides and has two cute stubby legs and feet. Draw the crease lines as well on top of his legs.
4
Here is your last drawing step. All you need to do here is draw out the cute stubby arms and then start erasing all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one to clean up your work.

Description: The Japanese race has got to be one of the smartest races around. I mean they come up with these creative characters for television and comics no matter if they are manga, anime, animals, people, or whatever. I received a request for me to do a lesson on “how to draw Domo” step by step. Domo is a brown colored mascot and character of Japans NHK television station. He became so popular that there is now shorts that contain skits of episodes. Domo is the main character and he is supposed to be a strange creature that hatched out form an egg. He lives beneath the earth in a cave with a rabbit named Mr. Usaji. Mr. Usaji is a wise old rabbit that loves to watch TV and drink all different kinds of green tea. Domo-kun also shares his dwellings with two bats named Maya and Mario. Maya is the mother bat and Mario is the child. Domo likes to eat meat and potato stew with the meat being cooked Japanese style. The way he talks with his friends is through a low pitched sound that sounds like his name in slow motion. I watched a couple of broadcasts on Youtube of Domo-kun and I found it to be strange and captivating. I think you guys will have fun learning from this tutorial on “how to draw Domo-kun step by step" because he is an incredibly easy character to draw for being so popular with the children. I have to leave you now but I shall return. I may or may not show up for live draw because today is my day off and I like spending my day doing something other than drawing. If you want to check out some fun Domo then just visit the website. Well, peace out folks and have fun.
