How to Draw Chibi Death Note

Step 1.


Start with a big circle for the head, and add the facial guidelines. Next draw the mid lining for the body.

Step 2.


Draw the lower half of chibi Light's face or jawline, and then add the mouth, and beginning eye lines which should be bold, and dark.

Step 3.


Now you will sketch out the entire head shape which is in the form of his chibi hair style. Be sure to draw the bangs to look jagged, and straight. Finish drawing out the eyes, and then the eyeballs.

Step 4.


Add some minor detailing to the hair, and then draw the shape of chibi Light's neck, right shoulder, and t-shirt.

Step 5.


You will finish off this chibi Death Note character by drawing out the legs, and than the arms and hands. Draw the apple, and the tie. Erase the lines and shapes that you drew in step one so you can clean up the drawing to prepare it for color.

Step 6.


This is how your chibi character looks when you are done. Color him in, and then you're all set. Wasn't that fun guys?

Description: The rest of the lessons that I will be submitting today are all chibi based which means for the remainder of the day, all you will be smothered with is chibi characters. Let's start off by learning "how to draw chibi Death Note", step by step. The character I used for the main image is of course Light Yagami. Light is the main protagonist of the anime, and manga series. The whole story centers around a seventeen year old boy that finds the Death Note, which was dropped by Ryuk who is the main Shinigami of the series. Light uses Death Note for his own pleasure by killing off criminals, and all the scum on the streets. Other characters of the series include Misa Amane, L, Near, Mello, and of course the various Death Gods. The chibi version of Light came out wicked cute. I really love how he looks with his shirt and tie, as he holds the apple in his hand. For those of you that don't know the significance of the apple that chibi Light is holding, I will fill you in on the 411 now. Light gives Ryuk apples every once in a while because the Shinigami love apples. Now, the Death Note that Light carries belongs to Ryuk. The only reason why Ryuk doesn't take it back is because he likes watching humans do stupid stuff. Anyway, if you're a fan of Death Note, you will fall in love with this tutorial because not only will you "draw chibi Light", you will essentially be learning "how to draw chibi Death Note" at the same time. I only have two more submissions coming up for the day, so stay tuned in to see what they are going to be.
