How to draw chess pieces, chess pawn

Artist: Midnight_Wolf / July 14, 2012

Step 1.

First you need to draw a circle, with a triangle directly underneath. I draw a line through the centre so I am sure they are aligned, but you dont have to.

Step 2.

Now draw in three elipses, one at the base of the circle, one at the tip of the triangle and one at the bottom of the triangle. These will become the ridges on the chess piece.

Step 3.

Now you need to outline it. Draw around the outside of all the shapes, remembering to bow the lines inward in the centre.

Step 4.

Finally, colour in the piece. Make sure you colour lighter in the areas that will be in the light. Good luck!!!
