Start this first step by drawing out the frame and guidelines of the tree. First you need to draw a long guideline that starts like an in away from the top of your drawing paper. Then draw three horizontal lines as shown. From that guideline you will

As you can see you will start shaping out the top of the tree branches as well as the arms and fingers. You will then make two slanted dashes for the scary eyes and then an "M" shape for the mouth. The last thing you will do here is draw the thicknes

You can see now that the spooky tree is starting to take form of a real knarly looking image. You will now draw the rest of the leafless branches at the top of the tree and then finish the arms and fingers. Now shape out the scary looking jagged eyes

In this step you will first start erasing all the guidelines that you drew in step one and then draw the detailing lines that a tree has all over the bark. These lines are gonna make your tree more spooky and scary because it brings out the age of t

Description: Hello again people I am back with my second tutorial for the day. In this next drawing tutorial I will be showing you how to draw a spooky tree. I know I said that I wouldn't put anymore Halloween or Christmas tutorials up, but I just had to draw a spooky tree because that is an essential part of Halloween. I mean if anybody tries to draw a haunted house or a graveyard you will need to know how to draw a scary looking tree right? Anyways when you draw one of these trees you can make any kind of scary face you want and you can also alter the position of the branches. One of my favorite looking spooky trees was from the Wizard of Oz. I don’t know how many of you watched the movie but there is a part when Dorothy and the Scarecrow go looking for food and she finds an area with a few apple trees. As she begins to pick apples from the tree they come to life and scare the wits out of her. They basically said that she couldn’t have some of their apples and then the tree slapped her. In this tutorial I will show you how easy it is to draw a spooky tree step by step. I really wanted to convey the feel of Halloween with this tree and I think I accomplished that big time. It came out awesome and I colored it wicked cool. I used my Wacom Intuos 3 drawing tablet along with Photoshop CS3. I hope you like this tutorial as much as I do.
