How to Draw a Serpent
1
Start this first step by drawing a perfect circle for the crystal ball and then draw out the shape of the snakes head. Once that is done all you will do now is draw the long slithering line for the serpents body.
2
Now in this next step you will start to sketch out the shape of the serpents neck as seen and add a layer to the inside of his mouth. Draw a line for his eye and shape out the shape of the snout as seen here. Once that is done you will begin drawing

So far this lesson is pretty simple huh? What you will do now is add some detailing to the inside of the mouth like the gums, teeth and a tongue. Once that is complete add his eye and then thicken the rest of the top part of the body or his neck. Dra

Well you have reached step four and all you need to do is add detailing definition to the serpents body as seen here. Color in his eye and then add more or his tongue in his mouth.

This is your last drawing step and before you go any further, YOU MUST ERASE ALL THE GUIDELINES AND SHAPES. This is because you will add all the scales to the snakes body which is going to be a very lengthily process so take your time and follow the

Description: In this forth tutorial I will be doing a lesson on a very cool looking snake sketch that was supposed to be a part of the bloody skull that I uploaded earlier today. I chose to get rid of the snake from the sketch because the color of the snake would have clashed with the colors of the bloody skull. I mean yeah sure I could have changed the color of the snake but in the end I chose not to because I thought that the snake would make a cool tutorial by itself. So with this tutorial I will be showing you "how to draw a serpent", step by step. As we all know a serpent is a name given to a snake when used in a religious or mythological context. For instance in the bible it states that Eve took the apple from the “serpent” not snake. There are also myths and tales about a sea serpent that lives in the waters that has been around for centuries. I wanted to label this snake that I drew a serpent because that is what he looks like. I mean a snake is a snake, like when you describe a venomous animal the first thing that comes to mind is a King Cobra or a Black Mamba. When you want to tell a tale about a mysterious slithering monster or tell the tale of what evil looks like in the form of an animal the word serpent will roll off your tongue. I am happy with the end results of this lesson because the scales and body position came out just perfect. I added a crystal ball that he is wrapped around to represent mystery. I think you will like this tutorial on "how to draw a snake, step by step". The instructions are easy to read and the steps are simple to follow. I will be back soon with one more drawing lesson so keep your eyes peeled there is more on the way.
