How to Draw Scorpion

Description: Welcome back everyone to another fun filled drawing tutorial here on DragoArt.com. This next drawing lesson is on a character that was requested by a member that visits the site often. So without further ado I will be showing you how to draw Scorpion from Mortal Kombat step by step. Now I am not going to lie to you, this was a very difficult character to draw because he is very detailed. The first thing I had to do when starting the drawing process for this martial arts character was to look at a few reference pictures that I found online. I looked at several different pictures and none of them were the same. So I then had to come up with a way to take all visual aspects of Scorpions image and combine them into one basic picture. Now in some of the photos Scorpion has traditional ninja shoes on his feet and in others he has boot like shoes. I decided it would be best just to give him a boot/shoe like foot to complete his outfit. Let’s talk a little about Scorpion shall we? First off I’m sure that most of you know he is one of the popular characters from the video “Mortal Kombat” and is sometimes confused of being “Sub-Zero” who looks a lot like Scorpion because they both have the same kind of ninja outfit or suit on. Before Scorpion became an evil opponent that you had a choice to fight in the video game, he was a human ninja named Hanzo Hasashi and he belonged to a Japanese clan called Shirai Ryu. He also had a family which is one of the reasons why he turned so sour. After losing his family and clan members he was out for one thing, revenge. He wanted vengeance against the people that were responsible for the death and destruction of his clan and family. One of the most memorable attacking abilities that Scorpion is famous for is his “Spear” attack. This is when his hand is palm up and a spear like weapon called a “kunai” comes out from the palm of his hand that is attached to a rope to catch his opponents. This attack is usually followed by the words “Get over Here” and “Come Here”. He also has teleport attack, aerial back teleport punch, leg take-down, air throw; breathe fire, hellfire, and a back-flip kick. Scorpion is a very popular played character that is part of the Mortal Kombat game series. He is personally my favorite along with Sub-Zero (which happens to be his arch nemesis). The two have a really cool appearance and their powers are sweet. This tutorial will show you how to draw Scorpion from Mortal Kombat step by step.
