Description: Okay for today’s last tutorial I thought I would do something different and fun. Well at least something that pulls you away from the seasonal tutorials that have recently been submitted on DragoArt by me in the past week or so. This next tutorial is based on a movie that I watched over the Labor Day weekend with my baby sister. Now I seen the movie before I watched it with her but the second time I watched it, it seemed a lot funnier than last time for some odd reason. The character that I am going to show you "how to draw is Otis" from Barnyard. This movie was released back in 2006 so that would have made me 14 years old and my baby sister 3. Otis is one of the main characters in this animated movie about a barnyard full of animals that act incredibly human when the farmer is not around. Otis plays the rebel character out of the gang and his father Ben tries to tell Otis that he has to act like a responsible cow because he is getting old and he isn’t going to be around forever. The barnyard animals have a problem with the mangy coyotes that are constantly trying to snatch chickens and other animals from the farm to eat. One night Ben (who is the leader of the farm animals) catches a group of coyotes trying to make a meal out of one of the hens in the hen house. The pack of wild animals attacks Ben all at once and leaves him for dead. He is found by Miles the mule and rushes to tell Otis what had happened to his father. Otis feels incredibly guilty for what happened because while his father was trying to save lives he was partying in the barn with the other animals instead of keeping watch like he was suppose to. Otis knows that it is high time now that he grows up, and start acting like the head honcho that he is supposed to be acting like. He soon learns that he needs to take charge and try to be half the cow his father was. Otis defeats the coyotes that took his father’s life and restores order to the barnyard while having fun at the same time.
