1

Make an egg shape for the base of the raccoon's head. Add the facial guidelines and move to step two.

2

Next up, begin sketching out the raccoon's actual head and face structure. Draw in the cat like ears, and then be sure to make the cheeks kind of fluffy.

3

Here you will draw in the face markings that makes these animals so darn popular. As you know raccoons look like they are wearing burglar masks. Draw in these very markings on the face, and then add triangle shapes in each ear.

4

Okay guys working with the facial guides that you drew in step one, begin drawing out the perfect round eyes like you see here. Ne sure the lining is thick, dark, and bold. Draw in a small nose and then the mouth or lips.

5

All you will be doing in this step is drawing out the front of the body starting with the neck, chest and front legs. Be sure to draw in the front leg posed towards each other.

6

In this step you will be drawing out the back end of your raccoon for kids, and then draw out the long puffy tail. Make sure that you get those toes drawn in too. Erase any visible guides you drew in step one for clean up.

7

You are all done guys, enjoy coloring in your finished drawing on how to draw a raccoon for kids.

Description: OMG, I can’t believe that you guys want more and more ‘for kids’ lessons, it’s totally blowing my mind because I really didn’t anticipate that this type of drawing style would do good. Now that I’m sure you guys love what I’m submitting, how about another ‘for kids’ lesson, this time we will be learning "how to draw a raccoon for kids", step by step. Raccoons are great because you can actually feel two ways with this animal species. What I mean by that is, you can literally sit there and rave about how adorable raccoons are, but if one gets into your trash or becomes hostile, the cute adorable raccoon goes to being a pest, nasty critter, and even an ugly rat. The lesson that you will be learning from today is actually going to be make it real hard to say that raccoons are ugly even if you get really mad or sick of them. This adorable concept of the over stayed backdoor neighbor is going to be so fun to look at and replicate. You will definitely have a blast teaching yourself to "draw a raccoon for kids". This is a great tutorial for kids to try out with their family or friends. My little sister and I had fun with this drawing, and because of that, I know you will too. Let me know what you think and make sure to upload your finished artwork even if it’s not from a tutorial at Dragoart!
