How to Draw Tohka Yatogami from Date A Live

Step 1.


This step is all about guide shapes. Start with a circle or the head, then draw two more for her torso and hip area. Lastly, make two more circles for the shoulders, then sketch in the facial guidelines.

Step 2.


For the second step we will tackle the task of drawing Tohka's long flowing hair. Her bangs are long and pointed and the two long strands that rest f her chest should have a wave to them.

Step 3.


Sketch out the shape of her face, then draw in the eyebrows, eyes, nose and mouth.

Step 4.


Now the challenge started because drawing her body or clothing is going to be a bit confusing since it is so detailed. Draw the shape of her neck, then draw the collar for the top portion of her tourniquet style dress top. Carefully draw in the detai   

Step 5.


We will now draw the large bowed shoulder sleeves that are part of her top. These sleeves look more like armor but in a lady like fashion. Sketch out some of her arms, then detail the shell shaped sleeves like so.

Step 6.


Tohka has a very nice figure so when you draw in the rest of her top or tourniquet, be sure to draw in the shape of her waist and hips to show her figure off. Sketch in the bracket like plates that wrap around her hips like so, then spend some time a   

Step 7.


You are almost done. All that is left to do for her clothing is to draw the blade like shards that flow down from her dress in a form fitting manner. These should be detailed like you would a blade from a sword. Add detailing to the fabric of the dre   

Step 8.


Lastly, draw the long flowing hair that is exposed from the back, then draw in the wing like bow on top of her head. Add detailing to these wings, and when you're done they should come out looking like a butterfly. Erase the mistakes and all the guid   

Step 9.


That's it, you are all done. Now you can take your time as you color in this awesome looking character from Date A Live. I hope the lesson wasn't too hard to tackle.
