A 3 hour sketch done with a pencil brush in Photoshop, really all I was trying to accomplish is understanding the lengths and direction of the fur. I think I achieved a fairly realistic wolf, and yes, I'm aware that this wolf looks somewhat like a coyote, and that is because the reference I used was of a collie wolf mix, and so it had a longer snout and a narrower face in general.
