And lo, from the unholy union of the winged serpent and the drinker of blood, there arose two beasts of the air, vast as the mountains and terrible as the storm. Their wings stretched from the ends of the heavens to the depths of the abyss, darkening the light of the sun and sealing the stars in smoke. Their eyes, like burning coals, beheld the wickedness of the earth, and with their breath of consuming fire, they set the nations ablaze. And the first beast came forth, bearing the fangs of the devourer, and it drank the life of the unrighteous as the locusts of old. And the second beast, its wings torn as the veil of the temple, cast down fire upon the great cities, and their towers melted as wax before the wrath of the Almighty. The cries of men rose like incense, yet no salvation came, for the hour of judgment was at hand. And the heavens wept, and the rivers turned to steam, and the earth groaned beneath their weight. Who among men shall stand when the fire-breathing bats of the abyss descend? Woe to the dwellers of the earth, for the end is written, and it shall come to pass.
