Toph Bei Fong is a blind earthbender. She can Earthbend, Metalbend and Sandbend. She can metalbend by 'seeing' the impurities in the metal. She learnt earthbending from badgermoles. They were blind, just like her so she understood them perfectly. Toph comes from a wealthy family and her protective parents believe her blindness to be a weakness and kept her lessons of earthbending at a beginner for 6 years. Secretly, she went to a tornament called Earth Rumble, where she met Aang and the others.
