Description: Well, I was pondering over how to make my backgrounds in Gimp better, and I came up with a answer including a transparent layer on top of a normal white layer. The Idea is to draw your object and colour it on the transparent layer, and since the white layer shows through the transparent layer, it looks as though your drawing on a normal, white page. When you finish your drawing, you switch to drawing on the white layer. This makes it so you can draw your background freely without worrying about disrupting the main object in the picture. When you finish the whole picture you can click on 'Merge Visible Layers'. And there you have it. A pic all ready to be used on the web and wherever you like. Here I didn't colour it, and instead used a gradient, it makes it look really cool.
