Start off with the frame of the wagon by drawing the lower half first and the upper half. It's good to start yourself off with a solid foundation where you can flesh out important details.

2

Then, draw the wheels. Start by taking your compass and draw the outer ring for the wheel. Draw the inner ring afterwards and then the bars around it. Bars have to be evenly drawn side by side to look right. Start drawing the details of the wood text

Next, work on the upper part of the wagon. Start by drawing the outer shell and draw six curves for the top. Then, you can draw the lines that shape each curve. Don't forget to draw the edge where the driver sits on.

Lastly, here is what your finished product should result to. You can erase all the guides from step one and start polishing! I would recommend to use Micron pens for perfect ink lines. I hope you enjoyed this lesson! Have fun and good luck :)

Description: Hey guys, it’s Dawn here with another helpful lesson that will teach you on “how to draw a wagon”, step by step. This is the type of wagon you’d see back in the old ages where Pilgrims and cowboys explored the lands that tapered into Native culture. I’m not sure if most of you have watched cowboy related movies that feature these large wagons. Before we upgraded into machines of speed (automobiles), there were large wooden structures on wheels that uses the force of horses to move around. They were used to carry cargo from long distances. Of course there were about three to four horses dragging this, also depending on the weight of the cargo. Anyways, the drawing is rather simple for you to accomplish. You can use this lesson for one of your school projects on Pilgrims, old ages, or whatever. Make sure you get yourself a ruler, compass, and a good eraser for drawing perfect shapes. It takes time for drawing a project like this, especially drawing the circles for the wheels. I made this drawing less complicated for you artists who are just beginners and need drawings for school or illustrations. I would recommend to keep practicing and take your time to draw the important details of a wagon. There are small indications of wood textures on the wooden parts. Draw the wheels simple where there is less details to make things simple. Anyways, I have to go now. Thanks for viewing this lesson on “how to draw a wagon”, step by step. Peace out and have fun!
