You will start this step on drawing a basketball by drawing a perfect circle and then adding the guidelines on the inside. Once that is done draw out the rounded lines for the flames and then move to the next step.

2

Now that you have reached step two you will start drawing out the ribs on the basketball. Move to the right and then draw out the flame shapes and then you are ready for the next step. See easy right?

3

Add the next line for the front of the rib. You will add the detailing shapes on the inside of the flames and then start erasing the guidelines to clean up your work and then move to the next step.

4

Once you are done your basketball should look like this when you are done. All you have to do now is color in your art and then you have just learned how to draw a basketball step by step.

Description: My first tutorial of the day was on a basketball hoop and because of that I thought that I would do another tutorial on a sports item to go with the hoop. So what I will show you today is "how to draw a basketball". Now this lesson isn’t just a plain old basketball, instead like the baseball and the football I added some cool flames trailing behind the basketball to add some pizazz. Now for this lesson I will tell you a little about the basketball and what it is made of. Now a basketball is an inflatable object that is round in shape (about twenty nine and a half inches in diameter), and they have a bumpy textured surface which is called pebbles. In a standard basketball there is somewhere around four thousand one hundred eighteen pebbles scattered around the whole ball to aid in grip and throw technique for basketball players. The black lines that you see printed on the ball are called ribs and these lines are embedded in the ball. Basketballs are lined with a rubber bladder, and later wrapped in layers of fiber and then covered with a sheet of leather, rubber, or a synthetic composite material. Basketballs are naturally brown in color and sometimes have a logo stamped on the ball representing the manufacturer. This is a very basic lesson on "how to draw a basketball", step by step. I will return with more drawing lessons in a bit so stay tuned for more coming your way in just a bit, and don't forget to check out your favorite
