Even though Lumiere looks like a simple character to draw, you might find some difficulty replicating him. Start with a single line that curls in at the bottom, and then draw in one face guide.

2

You will now start drawing out Lumiere's head shape which is basically a candle. Draw the very french nose as well as the side profile of the mouth, right cheek, and chin.

3

Draw the definition line at the top of the candle and make sure that there is a notch for the melted wax trail. When that is done, draw a wick and flame like so, and then draw in the eyes, eyebrows, cheek, and mouth. As you can see you will also need

4

Draw the chest of Lumiere's candle shaped body, and then draw the arms as well as the decorative cuffs.

5

Lumiere has candles for hands, so you have to draw the candle cups as well as the small candles that are in each holder. Draw the wicks and flames like so, and move along people.

6

We will be finishing off Lumiere and to do this all you have to do is draw the brass body candelabra, as well as the decorative base. Sketch in the molded detailing like so, and then start cleaning up your drawing so you have something neat to color

Here is the finished line art when you are all done. Now you can have even more fun as you color in your Candelabra in the form of Lumiere.

Description: I don’t often watch TV but when I do its usually because my little sister is hanging out with me when I’m drawing. I say this because I am going to explain my choice for this next tutorial. As I sat there and worked on the drawing of Debby Ryan, I must have watched at least fifty commercials on the new 3D release of Beauty and the Beast coming to theaters on January 13, 2012. Even though I love the animated film, I don’t think I could spend all that money to watch it in a theater when I have the DVD at home. I know my parents plan to take my eight year old sister to the theater when it is released, but as for me, I’m really all set. In dedication to the new 3D version of Beauty and the Beast, I will show you "how to draw Lumiere", step by step. As you know Lumiere is the Candelabra figure that lives in the enchanted castle with Beast. He is also the good friend and rival of Cogsworth the clock, and Beast’s maître d which is French for 'master of the hotel or castle in this matter'. Although Cogsworth tries to keep outsiders away from the castle, Lumiere is convinced that the young beautiful Belle is the answer to breaking the spell that was cast onto the castle, and everyone in it. He is by far one of my favorite characters in the film, and I had so much fun drawing him out. To tell you the truth, I’m surprised I have never made a tutorial on drawing Lumiere. I plan on making more characters from Beauty and the Beast, so if you have any ideas as to who you would like to see, just drop me a request and let me know. In the meantime have fun with this figure, and I will be back with some more drawing fun. Adios people!
